Job summary

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center dedicated to care, research, and education. This role provides comprehensive patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification for hospital and physician services.

Responsibilities include handling patient inquiries, coordinating tests and office referrals, and supporting the Revenue Cycle processes. The position requires strong clerical skills and Epic EMR experience, with 40 hours per week on day/evening shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of clerical, customer service, or administrative support experience.
  • 1 year of basic keyboarding and personal computer use.
  • For regional positions, valid driver’s license is required.
  • 1 year of Revenue Cycle experience in a hospital/medical office setting.
  • Experience with Epic or equivalent Electronic Medical Record system.

Responsibilities

  • Handle complete patient scheduling and registration.
  • Assist with insurance verification and determining patient financial responsibilities.
  • Coordinate tests, screenings, and referrals for patients.
  • Respond to inbound/outbound calls and address patient concerns professionally.
  • Document and release orders and maintain accurate medical records.
