Responsibilities

• Schedules patient appointments and enters information in the computer system accurately.
• Obtains demographic, insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor.
• Explains forms to patients and obtains signatures.
• Ensures medical necessity data is collected and communicated to patient/guarantor.
• Collects patient liability, discusses payment options and screen for eligibility.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits; complete notifications and authorizations timely.
• Posts payments and issues patient receipts; maintains accurate records.
• Resolves patient account issues and communicates with staff and providers.
• Completes documentation and supports meetings and projects as assigned.
