Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in a medical front desk, experience with insurance verifications and patient billing, and strong computer skills with respect for confidentiality.

Qualifications

• A High School Degree or GED.
• 2–3 years in medical/health care front desk preferred.
• Experience with insurance verifications and patient billing.
• Working knowledge of computers; confidentiality required.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Epic experience a plus; bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients promptly and courteously.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Determine eligibility and coverage for services.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances at check-in/out.
• Assist patients with past due balances and payment options.
• Schedule appointments for multiple physicians across departments.
• Follow up on appointments to minimize no-shows and maximize productivity.
• Address patient inquiries professionally.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient flow.
• Take initiative and escalate issues when needed.
• Contribute to a positive office culture with leadership spirit.
