Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related work or scheduling experience.
• Ability to manage patient and physician communications with HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments system-wide for providers including specialty and ancillary services.
• Provide prep instructions for ancillary and diagnostic procedures.
• Complete registration, demographic and insurance information for timely payment.
• Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations and confirmations to match patient preferences.
• Process referral requests and obtain physician referrals as required.
• Answer questions about appointment status from patients and referring physicians.
• Coordinate and hold template slots; assure physician to physician or department contact.
