Job summary

Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine is seeking a part-time appointment scheduling specialist to support scheduling for providers system-wide. You will match physician guidelines with patient preferences using our scheduling tools and help maintain accurate patient registration and insurance data in HIPAA-compliant processes.

Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, providing prep instructions for procedures, coordinating referrals, and answering questions about appointment status.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree in Business Administration/Management preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments system-wide for providers.
• Provide prep instructions for procedures and tests.
• Coordinate and complete registration, demographic and insurance information.
• Process requests for referrals and obtain referrals as required.
• Answer patient and referring physician questions regarding appointment status.
