Job summary

UCI Health in Costa Mesa seeks an eager Registration Clerk to be the first point of contact for patients in ambulatory clinics. You will perform clerical duties, enter patient information into the registration system, and verify insurance coverage while coordinating appointment schedules.

The role requires strong customer service, data entry accuracy, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays.
• Experience using office equipment (printer, copier, fax, scanner).
• Experience using a multi-line telephone system.
• Experience using a computer with data entry and retrieval.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Be able to read, write and speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for patients in ambulatory clinics.
• Enter patient data into the registration system and verify insurance coverage.
• Schedule, confirm, and cancel patient appointments.
• Support general clerical tasks and maintain professional relationships across the health system.
