University Hospitals invites applications for a Patient Access Representative at the Digestive Health Institute. The role serves as the first point of contact for patients and families, ensuring accurate demographic, insurance and payment information and guiding scheduling processes.

The incumbent will assist patients with MyChart, collaborate with healthcare teams, and help streamline patient processing to enhance the patient experience and support revenue cycle activities.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree or progress towards degree preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Check patients in and out for visits.
• Answer incoming calls and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and usage.
• Enter and validate patient demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Communicate with care team and coordinate referrals.
• Interact with insurance companies on coverage and pre-approvals where needed.
• Collect copays and other visit balances.
