Job summary

White Plains Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Patient Access Associate to handle scheduling inquiries, registrations, and patient data updates in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong communication skills, prior customer service experience, and the ability to manage high call volumes with professionalism. This full-time daytime position supports the Patient Access Center and offsite practice scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous customer service experience required.
• Previous physician practice experience preferred.
• Previous call center experience preferred.
• Basic medical terminology, electronic scheduling, EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responds to multi-channel inquiries regarding appointments, referrals, refills, etc., following scheduling guidelines and clinical escalation protocols.
• Ensures proper patient identification, accurate demographics and insurance coverage, and updates patient medical records.
• Performs front desk duties, including scheduling and registration at offsite practices as needed.
• Maintains high level of customer experience and collaborates with colleagues and leadership to improve performance.
