Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Support Assistant at Swedish Hospital to manage front desk communications, move patients through visits, and support the clinical team using Epic for scheduling and registrations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years in admin/customer service, EPIC knowledge, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years admin/customer service experience preferred; EPIC knowledge preferred.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage front desk and waiting area communication to move patients through visits and support the clinical team.
• Answer incoming department calls from patients, physicians, and other departments per NorthShore standards and document in Epic telephone encounters.
• Utilize Epic to schedule and register patients for multiple providers, sites and services.
• Obtain prior authorization, records and orders to ensure seamless patient arrival.
• Familiarize yourself with physician preferences, availability, visit types, and protocols.
• Obtain prior authorization as needed.
• Review department templates daily to ensure patient access and efficient utilization; inform Practice Manager of concerns.
• Provide other administrative support under the direction of Physicians and Practice Manager.
