Responsibilities

• Checks in and registers patients according to scheduling guidelines, prioritizing patient needs.
• Obtains and verifies guarantor information to keep patient records up to date; generates referrals or authorizations when needed.
• Schedules and registers patients within appropriate clinic guidelines and coordinates follow-up appointments and testing.
• Collects time of service payments and copayments; reconciles cash drawer at end of day and reports discrepancies.
• Responds to patient and staff needs and complaints within the patient care environment; communicates with supervisors as needed.
