Qualifications

• High school (G.E.D) required.
• Previous administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments in accordance with established guidelines and provide appointment details, preparation instructions, and location information.
• Proactively review provider schedules and address gaps to support efficient clinic operations and patient access.
• Verify and maintain accurate patient demographic, insurance, and registration information.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors and provide information about services, policies, and procedures.
• Retrieve and prepare patient records and documentation, ensuring HIPAA privacy and confidentiality.
• Build relationships with patients, providers, and staff through exceptional customer service and by addressing compliments and complaints.
• Enter and manage referrals within Epic, supporting care coordination and answering patient inquiries about referral status.
• Understand the Advanced Access scheduling model and monitor provider schedules to maximize patient access.
• Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure timely access and improve patient flow.
• Handle urgent or emergent calls following EMTALA guidelines and protocols.
• Participate in department meetings and training.
