Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking an enthusiastic Scheduling Clerk to support patients and care teams by coordinating appointments, verifying information, and keeping records up to date in accordance with departmental guidelines.

The role serves as a key contact for patients, providers, and internal departments, delivering timely, courteous service while protecting patient privacy and contributing to smooth clinic operations. Full-time daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 1 year related experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service, call center, medical office, or healthcare-related administrative experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally by phone, in writing, and in person.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
• Basic computer proficiency, including ability to learn scheduling/registration software and use standard office applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule Freeman Health System patients and care teams by coordinating appointments, verifying and updating patient information, and ensuring accurate scheduling in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Serve as a key contact for patients, providers, and internal departments, providing timely, courteous service while protecting patient privacy and supporting efficient clinic/hospital operations.
