Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Medical Front Desk experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience utilizing an EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors to the practice in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Registers patients in the practice management system/EMR by entering information from forms.
• Collects co-payments and outstanding balances at check-in.
• Collects and scans identification and insurance cards.
• Verifies insurance information and any needed authorizations/referrals.
• Prepares clinic for the following day and ensures necessary forms are in the chart.
• Performs miscellaneous administrative duties and directs visitors to the appropriate staff.
