Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey seeks a friendly, detail‑oriented Patient Access representative to greet patients, register them and schedule appointments. You will also collect copays and answer general questions, acting as the first point of contact for patients and families.

This role emphasizes customer service, accurate billing support, and coordination with clinical staff. Experience with Epic and prior hospital registration help; strong communication and teamwork are

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent registration or billing experience in a medical facility
• Proficient in patient registration, scheduling, pre-certifications, authorizations and referrals
• Epic experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Proven customer service excellence

Responsibilities

• Greet, register and schedule patients; collect point-of-service copays
• Provide general information to patients and families
• Serve as the non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination
• Demonstrate Cooper’s values in interactions with patients and co-workers
