Job summary

UCI Health in California is seeking an ambulatory clinics receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients. You will handle general clerical tasks, enter patient data into the registration system, verify insurance, and schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments.

This role requires strong customer service, English proficiency, and flexibility to work weekends/holidays, with experience using office equipment and a multi-line phone system.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays.
• Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner.
• Demonstrated experience using multi-line telephone system.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to make simple calculations and perform simple math.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Ability to effectively read, write and speak English.
