The University of California, Irvine Health is seeking a Registration Clerk for ambulatory clinics. You will be the first contact for patients, perform general clerical and reception duties, enter patient data into the registration system, and verify insurance.

You will schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments while maintaining accuracy and compassionate service. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication and flexibility to cover evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to work weekends/holidays.
• Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax, scanner.
• Demonstrated experience using multi-line telephone system.
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary.
• Ability to make simple calculations and perform simple math.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Ability to effectively read, write and speak English.
