Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston is seeking a New Patient Coordinator to manage all aspects of scheduling for new patients, triage calls, and intake of clinical information to support the care team.

You will provide superior customer service to patients, families, physicians and staff, coordinate appointments and referrals, review records, assist with EMR portal enrollment, and adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure timely communication and high-quality patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health administration or related field preferred
• Up to 1 year of healthcare and/or customer service experience
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve on the spot

Responsabilités

• Provides administrative support and coordination for all aspects of patient care for new patients, primarily focused on supporting incoming telephone calls
• Triages issues and answering general questions, with the goal of resolving requests in real time
• Completes patient intake for each caller, including those resolved, or those requiring action by disease center New Patient Coordinator
• Schedules patient visits and manages changes for one or multiple providers
• Reviews medical records and coordinates receipt of necessary documents and referrals
