Intermountain is seeking a Patient Service Representative in Billings, MT. The role serves as the first connection with patients, greeting, check-in/out, and verifying information to support a superior customer experience.

You will document interactions in the EMR, schedule appointments, collect payments, assist with forms for billing, and help patients understand financial assistance. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience with direct interactions.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and caregivers to deliver high satisfaction levels.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients and caregivers.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides courteous and professional connections with patients by phone, in person, or secure messaging, resolving needs for a superior experience.
• Documents all calls and interactions accurately in the EMR.
• Schedules appointments for visits, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Registers patients by confirming and updating demographic data in the registration system.
• Obtains insurance cards, IDs, and signatures; verifies coverage and pre-authorization when needed.
• Assists patients with forms for regulatory and billing needs and educates on financial assistance; processes payments.
• Stays current on responsibilities by reviewing communications and attending meetings as needed.
