Job summary

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience involving interactions with customers.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients, members, and caregivers.
• Preferred: one year of customer service experience in person and by phone.
• Preferred: EMR literacy and billing/collections experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients in person or by phone.
• Verify and collect patient information; enter/update demographic data in registration system.
• Schedule appointments for visits, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Assist with insurance coordination and financial forms; obtain signatures as needed.
• Educate patients on financial assistance options and proactively request payments.
• Process payments following standard procedures and maintain accurate records.
