Sanford Health in Beaver Dam, WI is seeking a Patient Access Representative to register patients and schedule appointments, while creating electronic files and collecting payments. The role is 36 hours per week with varied shifts and weekends.

The position coordinates referrals, pre-authorization, and interpreter services, works with nursing staff to meet patient needs, and handles charting and recall tasks. A high school diploma and customer service experience are required; BLS may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Post-secondary education helpful.
• One year of work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Six months' customer service experience desired.
• May require BLS for certain locations and/or settings.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, verify demographics, and schedule appointments. Create electronic files and collect payments.
• Coordinate referrals, pre-authorization, and interpreter services; check in/out patients and manage recall/waitlists.
• Assist with chart preparation, financial arrangements, and data entry; maintain confidentiality and professional communication.
