Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an Ambulatory Services Representative I to coordinate ambulatory patient access functions, including front-end customer service, patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling. This part-time role supports the Ambulatory Float Pool with a focus on efficient, patient-centered service.

The ideal candidate has strong English communication, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of health information.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Reception and customer service for ambulatory access.
• MPI creation/verification and registration demographics.
• Appointment scheduling and visit management.
• Insurance verification and pre-authorization coordination.
• Co-payment collection and registration edits.
