Boston Medical Center is looking for an Ambulatory Services Representative I to coordinate patient access functions, including reception and administrative duties. This part-time role requires effective customer service, insurance handling, and appointment scheduling.
The ideal candidate should have an Associates degree or equivalent, along with at least two years of relevant experience, preferably in a clinical setting. Compensation ranges from $20.23 to $24.65 per hour, with benefits including medical and dental coverage.
The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all the functions and activities related to ambulatory patient access including front-end customer service, patient registration, insurance/coverage verification, appointment scheduling, charge entry, and a variety of administrative duties in support of the department such as handling forms, phones, filing, making appointments, photocopying, faxing, mailings, letters, reports, etc. Position: Ambulatory Services Representative I Department: Ambulatory Float Pool Schedule: Part Time (Rotate Day/Evening, Per-Diem position which requires a minimum of two shifts per month Monday-Friday Regular business hours typically 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.)
Associates degree (or equivalent) or HS/GED plus at least two years relevant experience.
Experience working in a clinical setting preferred.
Compensation Range: $20.23 - $24.65 per hour. This range is an estimate based on minimum job qualifications.
