Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking an Ambulatory Service Representative for the Colorectal Surgery Clinic. This part-time role focuses on front-end customer service, patient registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, charge entry, and billing support to ensure smooth clinical operations.

Responsibilities include MPI creation, registration demographics, visit management, refill of insurance edits, pre-authorization, and coordinating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• HS/GED with 3+ years relevant experience in healthcare or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree or an Associate degree with 1+ year of relevant experience.

• Batch controls.
• Billing (TES) edits.
• Hold bill edits.
• Charge reconciliations.
• Billing and managed care support including responding to inquiries and coordinating with insurance carriers.
