Job summary

Hanger is seeking a front desk Receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience at our Williamsport clinic. You will welcome patients, verify demographics and insurance, and handle payments at the front desk while coordinating follow-up appointments for casts and prosthetic care plans.

The role requires strong communication, basic computer skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Prior front office or medical reception experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year of customer service or related experience.
• Receptionist or medical front office experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk and provide wait time info.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance at check-in.
• Collect patient payments including deductibles and copays.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments for casts, measurements, and prosthetic care.
• Serve as liaison for patient experience programs and other resources.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic health records.
