Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Saint Joseph, Missouri, is seeking a front desk receptionist to ensure a seamless patient and staff experience.

You will greet patients, verify demographics, manage check-ins, handle payments, and support scheduling and communications across the clinic. We value communication, computer proficiency, and compassionate customer service, with opportunities across our O&P network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year in customer service or administrative work.
• Experience in a receptionist or medical front office preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Talent Sorter assessment will be used in selection.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at front desk; provide wait-time information.
• Verify demographics and insurance during check-in.
• Handle patient payments (deductibles, copays, coinsurance) at front desk.
• Schedule follow-up appointments including cast and prosthetic care plans.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records.
