Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Overland Park, KS, is seeking a friendly front desk/receptionist to ensure a seamless patient experience. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and schedule follow-ups for cast, measurements, and prosthetic care plans.

You will also assist staff and refer sources, maintain records, and work with the Revenue Cycle Management team to gather needed information while delivering excellent customer service daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
• Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record.
• Talent Sorter assessment may be administered as part of the selection process.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival at the front desk.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance at check-in; handle walk-ins.
• Process payments including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments including cast/measure delivery and prosthetic care plans.
• Support clinic services and provide information on patient experience programs.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle Management to obtain patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
