Job summary

Hanger, Inc. seeks a professional to manage front office operations at our orthotic and prosthetic clinics. You will greet patients, collect payments, verify demographics and insurance, and support scheduling for casts, measurements, and prosthetic care plans.

Ideal candidates bring front desk or medical office experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Windows, EHRs, and Office tools. This role anchors patient care excellence and requires a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Be at minimum a good fit for the job, as determined by the Talent Sorter assessment preferred.
• Less than one year of customer service, administrative or related experience required.
• Experience in a receptionist position or experience with medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing information on wait times and addressing inquiries at the front desk.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance details during check-in; handle walk-in registrations.
• Collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as a liaison for clinic services, offering information on patient experience programs, support groups, and other resources.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to obtain necessary patient information.
• Ensure accurate and complete electronic health records for all patients.
