Job summary

Hanger Clinic is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator in Portland, ME to manage front office operations and ensure a seamless patient experience. You will greet patients, verify demographics and insurance, collect payments, and coordinate follow-up appointments for prosthetic care.

The role requires strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical setting. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Talent Sorter assessment used in selection process.
• Less than one year of customer service or related experience required.
• Receptionist or medical front office experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients at the front desk and provide wait time information.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance during check-in; handle registrations.
• Collect payments including deductibles, copays, and co-insurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments including cast and measure, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and patient experience programs.
