Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics in Portland, ME seeks a Patient Access Coordinator to manage front desk operations, patient check-in/out, and insurance / demographic processing. You will support appointment scheduling and serve as a liaison between patients and clinic services.

The role emphasizes strong communication, computer proficiency, and accuracy in handling records, payments, and referrals in a front-office environment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Less than one year of customer service or related experience preferred.
• Experience in a receptionist position or medical front office procedures preferred.
• Must have or be eligible to obtain a valid driver’s license.

Aufgaben

• Greet and assist patients, provide wait time information, and answer inquiries at the front desk.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance during check-in; handle walk-in registrations.
• Collect patient payments, including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance at the front desk.
• Coordinate follow-up appointments, including casts, measurements, delivery, and prosthetic care plans.
• Serve as liaison for clinic services and explain patient experience programs and resources.
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle Management team to obtain necessary patient information.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records for all patients.
