Job summary

Geisinger Pediatrics Pittston seeks a front line office assistant to support the department. You will greet and register patients, support checkout, and schedule future appointments as applicable.

You will verify demographics, communicate wait times, assist with insurance and financials, and help process recalls and referrals. This role works in an office environment with emphasis on accuracy and patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Clerical and customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register incoming patients and support checkout.
• Schedule future appointments as applicable.
• Check in patients, verify demographics and communicate wait times.
• Explain financial responsibilities and collect fees as appropriate.
• Assist with referrals, pre-certifications, and recalls as needed.
• Maintain medical records and release processes; perform recall lists.
