Qualifications

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of medical records is helpful.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional, friendly manner.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
• Verify and update demographics, insurance, and registration details.
• Collect copays and outstanding balances; perform daily payment reconciliation.
• Answer calls and assist with scheduling and general questions.
• Schedule appointments per clinical protocols; process referrals by phone, fax, or email.
• Coordinate outside testing and obtain insurance authorization when needed.
• Assist with pre-authorization and ongoing authorization requirements.
• Verify insurance coverage to support accurate billing.
• Manage incoming faxes and documents; scan and file in EHR.
• Communicate with clinical staff to maintain efficient provider schedules.
• Reconcile daily charges to ensure accurate billing information.
• Maintain a welcoming, organized waiting area for patients and visitors.
