Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-3 years customer service or medical office experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer data-entry/typing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and a positive first impression.
• Respond to questions and concerns and escalate issues as needed.
• Collect patient demographic information accurately.
• Schedule patients through NMHC systems with other departments.
• Perform medical necessity checks and inform patients of options.
• Complete out-of-pocket estimations and discuss financial options.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Participate in QA reviews and training for staff.
