Qualifications

• Requires 2-3 years of customer service or medical office experience.
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
• Proficient in computer data-entry and typing; ~40 wpm.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a busy office.
• Adheres to HIPAA and confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

• Responds to questions and concerns with professionalism.
• Directs issues to Team Lead or Operations Coordinator as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA regulations.
• Schedule patients by coordinating with departments and physicians offices.
• Assist patients with demographic data collection and insurance information.
• Perform medical necessity checks when needed and explain options to patients.
• Communicate effectively across units and resolve operational issues.
• Enter and verify data in Epic and related systems.
