Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio is seeking a Patient Access Representative for Eastside ENT to be the first point of contact for patients and families. You will register patients, verify insurance and collect payments to keep appointments on schedule.

You will assist with MyChart enrollment and coordinate with the care team, ensuring confidential handling of PHI and accurate data entry for the revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or progress toward degree preferred.
• Medical Terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for visits.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with enrolling in MyChart.
• Enter/update patient demographics, insurance, and financial information.
• Communicate with the care team about patient needs.
• Contact insurance for coverage/preapprovals as needed.
• Collect payments for copays/deductibles/balances.
• Scan documents into EPIC accurately.
