Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative II in Jacksonville, FL. This part-time role operates Saturdays and Sundays, 6:45am to 7:15pm, supporting patient access workflows in a fast-paced ED environment.

Responsibilities include registering patients, navigating multiple systems, and maintaining compliance with EMTALA, AHCA, JCAHO, and HIPAA guidelines while delivering exceptional service to patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred
• High School Diploma Required

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
