Baptist Health Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a part-time Patient Access Representative II to join our patient access team. This role is responsible for registering patients accurately, using multiple systems, and providing service excellence face-to-face and by phone.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of Customer Service, Healthcare, and Insurance experience, and a High School Diploma. You will work across departments to support PAS goals while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience required.
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience required.
• 1-2 years Insurance experience required.
• High School Diploma Required.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Job Description Baptist Downtown is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a part-time opportunity, Thursday - Saturday 6:00 am- 4:00 pm.

Patient Access Representative II, Job Responsibilities:
