Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Part-Time Patient Access Representative II to join our patient access team. Shifts Thursday through Saturday 6:00 am–4:00 pm.

You will register patients, use multiple systems, and support compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations. The role emphasizes accurate registration, patient privacy, and collaboration with clinical and non-clinical teams.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience required
• 1-2 years Insurance experience required

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Patient Access Representative II, Job Responsibilities
