Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Patient Access Representative II for a part-time weekend shift, Saturday and Sunday 6:45 pm to 7:15 am. You will register patients, use multiple systems, and support cross-training across access areas.

You will maintain service excellence, ensure HIPAA privacy, and comply with EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO regulations while delivering friendly face-to-face and telephonic encounters within a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years Customer Service experience preferred.
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience preferred.
• 1-2 years Insurance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently.
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces.
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas.
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters.
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.).

Baptist Silverleaf is hiring a Patient Access Representative II to join our Patient access team in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Part-Time opportunity, Saturday/Sunday 6:45 pm - 7:15 am.

Patient Access Representative II, Job Responsibilities

• Registers patients accurately and efficiently
• Utilization of multiple systems and interfaces
• Cross-Trained in order to work in multiple patient access areas
• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years Customer Service Experience Required
• 1-2 years Healthcare experience Preferred
• 1-2 years Insurance experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
