Job summary

Baptist Health Nassau - Main Building is seeking a patient access representative to register patients accurately and assist across multiple systems, delivering courteous service to patients and visitors.

You will ensure HIPAA privacy, follow state and federal regulations, and collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to maintain smooth check-in, billing interfaces, and patient consent documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in patient access or registration preferred.
• Understanding of patient privacy and HIPAA.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
• Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
• Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
• Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non-clinical team members
• Able to articulate compliance documentation and ensure completion of required patient consent forms
• Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
