Job summary

Baptist Health in Saint Augustine is seeking a patient access professional to join our on-site team at the Main Building Freestanding ED. You will register patients accurately, utilize multiple systems, and support face-to-face and telephonic encounters.

You will travel to assignments within a region containing four Baptist facilities, coach team members, ensure HIPAA privacy and compliance, and support annual PAS goals. Flexibility to rotate schedules and on-call weeks are required.

  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
  • On Call Team during week-long rotations
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule
  • Responsible for selecting a region containing 4 Baptist Facilities and traveling to assignments within

Responsibilities

  • Registers patients accurately and efficiently
  • Utilizes multiple systems and interfaces
  • Cross-Trains in order to work in multiple patient access areas
  • Maintains service excellence to patients and visitors for face-to-face and telephonic encounters
  • Contributes to PAS Goals as defined annually (Collections, Palm Scanning, etc.)
  • Possesses a strong understanding of State and Federal regulations including EMTALA, AHCA, and JCAHO
  • Maintains a professional relationship with all clinical and non‑clinical team members
  • Articulates compliance documentation and ensures completion of required patient consent forms
  • Maintains patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
  • On Call Team during week-long rotations
