Job summary

Amgen, a global biotechnology leader, seeks a Patient Access & Reimbursement Specialist to support access initiatives for infused therapies. You will educate patients and providers on coverage, assist with prior authorizations, and navigate complex reimbursement pathways.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Site of Care teams, with a focus on reducing barriers to therapy and ensuring compliant, timely access for patients in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications include Doctorate, Master’s with 2+ years patient services/access experience, or Bachelor’s with 4+ years patient services/access experience.
• Advanced Qualifications include Doctorate with 2 years of patient services/access experience, or Master’s with 4 years, or Bachelor’s with 6 years.
• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused therapies and familiarity with HIPAA and FDA regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Guide patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers through insurance benefits, prior authorizations, and reimbursement processes.
• Identify and resolve access challenges, including coverage questions and denied claims.
• Educate patients on coverage considerations and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
