Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network is seeking an OP Patient Access Representative (Part Time, Days) in Clinton, NJ. The role handles patient registration for outpatient and ED visits, verifies insurance, collects payments, and supports efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include coordinating with clinical and revenue cycle teams, ensuring accurate data entry, and facilitating a smooth patient journey through the facility with a focus on service excellence.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills required.
• General computer experience and ability to type fluently, accurately, and quickly required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Previous medical administrative experience and/or health care related education courses preferred.
• Knowledge of health information system (EPIC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and verify patients in the hospital information system to maintain EMR integrity.
• Cross-train in all areas of location or region; assist in outpatient and Emergency Department areas.
• Greet and direct patients and visitors, ensuring friendly and courteous service.
• Answer calls and provide information about the facility and services.
• Promote MyChart patient portal and self-service capabilities for patient engagement.
• Assist with Welcome Kiosk and On My Way technology and monitor patient flow.
