Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a part-time Patient Access professional to begin the Revenue Cycle process by collecting demographic and financial information for clean claims. You will provide outstanding service to patients, families, and clinicians, while ensuring accurate data entry in the EMR and correct CPT coding.

Responsibilities include verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, scheduling outpatients, and communicating clearly about billing and financial counseling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in a medical office setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in the EMR and verify demographics.
• Collect and enter financial information to support clean claims.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Explain billing procedures and assist with financial counseling.
• Use CPT codes to select appropriate codes.
