Job summary

The Ohio State University Harding Hospital is seeking a part-time Registration Coordinator 1 for the Internal Resource Pool. The role focuses on welcoming visitors, guiding them through the hospital, and logging information in the SMART Registration system.

You will support HIPAA compliance, assist patients and families, and collaborate with the EPIC census team to ensure accurate data entry while maintaining empathy and strong communication in a busy behavioral health setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PC knowledge and strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication are essential.
• Preferred: Windows, Excel, intranet/internet navigation; medical terminology and third-party reimbursement experience.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact for visitors and inquiries; provide directions within Harding Hospital.
• Log and track visitor information using SMART Registration; ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Support EPIC Census data and coordinate with hospital staff to assist patients and families.
