Qualifications

• Completion of high school education or equivalent.
• Proficient in Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills and telecommunications experience.
• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education/experience and medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors upon entry to the facility, providing excellent patient experiences.
• Completes patient registrations, collecting demographic, guarantor, and financial information in person and via telephone.
• Validates patient insurance coverage via real-time eligibility.
• Requests payment for co-pays and balances, manages the cash drawer.
• Collects patient IDs and insurance cards and scans to the EMR system.
• Explains patient forms and requests signatures.
• Initiates interpreter services for non-English speakers.
• Performs downtime procedures and supports downtime recovery.
• Assists with EMR work queues to support claims process.
• Performs other duties as required.
