Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Patient Access Registrar to begin the Revenue Cycle by collecting accurate demographic and financial information to produce clean claims for timely reimbursement. You will deliver exceptional service during encounters with patients, families, visitors, and OhioHealth physicians and associates.

Responsibilities include identifying patients in the EMR, entering data, verifying insurance, obtaining authorizations, and assisting with registration across care areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient in EMR system.
• Enter accurate demographic and financial information through a standard process (phone, virtual, in-person) to complete registration.
• Provide exceptional customer service during encounters with patients, families, visitors, and OhioHealth staff.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations.
• Explain billing procedures and available financial aid.
• Scan and file documents for claim submission; maintain patient logs.
