Mount Carmel Health System in Westerville, OH is seeking a Patient Financial Specialist I to ensure accurate patient registration, verify coverage, and collect balances at point of service. You will work with EPIC, apply knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid rules, and help patients arrange payment plans while guiding colleagues across admitting and billing teams to resolve questions.

• Education: Associate’s Degree preferred; HS diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 3+ years in a physician's office, clinic, hospital business office, financial service setting, or related area dealing with the public in collection of data and funds.

• Register patients

• Assist with soft collection during registration
• Use EPIC for data entry and processing
• Understand Medicare/Medicaid and other third party information requirements and comply with regulations
