Job summary

First Choice Community Healthcare INC is seeking a Patient Services Representative I to greet patients and visitors, register new and returning patients, and collect payments for visits. The role works under supervision in Health Center Operations and supports front desk activities with accuracy and courtesy.

The position requires high school completion, 3–6 months of related experience, and preferred bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors entering the health center and checks them in for scheduled and walk-in appointments.
• Updates patient records to verify contact information and enters data into the computer system.
• Collects patients’ copay/coinsurance/deductible at time of service and maintains balanced cash handling.
• Meets with patients to collect required personal, health, and insurance information for the permanent patient record; verifies insurance eligibility.
• Answers phones and directs callers to appropriate offices or staff; schedules appointments.
• Verifies and scans patient registration documents; maintains patient records and reports as required.
