Job summary

CHCB, Inc. is seeking a Patient Registration Representative to deliver exceptional service, manage patient information, and support accurate intake and scheduling within a healthcare facility.

You will handle EMR data entry, verify demographics and insurance, and collaborate with care teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance. The role may involve occasional evening/weekend hours and requires at least 1 year of healthcare customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience providing high-level customer service in healthcare.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree; preferred: medical terminology knowledge; preferred: 3 years of healthcare experience; preferred: familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Enter and retrieve information in EMR systems to ensure accuracy of health records.
• Schedule appointments, perform pre-registration duties, and verify demographics and insurance details.
• Identify situations needing clinical staff intervention and maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Collaborate with care team, deliver Care Coordination, and support Quality Improvement initiatives.
• Process Prior Authorizations and Referrals, and provide specialist resource information.
• Record and maintain patient data accurately; participate in meetings and other duties as assigned.
