Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital South is seeking a Patient Access Specialist/Registration for full-time, varied shifts including weekends and holidays. Responsibilities include financial counseling, co-pay collection, and accurate patient registration in the ADT system.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of healthcare or customer service experience, with proficiency in Windows and basic typing. An Associates degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree preferred in healthcare or related field.
• 1–3 years of customer service, clerical/office, hospital, or medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients on financial options and collect co-pays/deductibles.
• Register patients and enter demographic/financial data into the ADT system.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certifications when applicable.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protect patient privacy.
